Resumen

The school offers a teaching program linked to the universal cultural knowledge to betransmitted, and to science. Usually, the contents are imposed by the society and the culture inwhich they are inserted. The purpose of the educational institution is not only to instruct thestudents, but also to offer them a portion of the culture through this acquired knowledge. Theproposal for reflection, in this article, is part of a study on school institutions. This work is theresult of a documentary analysis based on primary sources cataloged by the NUCATHE(Center for Cataloging, Studies and Research in History of Education) of the State Universityof Paraná, Campus de União da Vitória (Brazil). The investigation took place in the ProfessorBalduíno Cardoso School Group, created in 1927, in the Municipality of Porto União, in thenorth of the State of Santa Catarina. This institution began its activities between the years of1917 and 1918 under the denomination of Schools Reunidas and is in operation until thepresent time. It is a School Group that initially offered the Primary Course and, following itsactivities, created the Primary Complementary Course (1928) and the Primary Normal School(1935). In the period between 1945 and 1955, the majority of teachers were formed by theNormal School and had their teaching work supervised by the State Inspector of PrimarySchools. In 1946, the Organic Law of Primary Education of the State of Santa Catarina wasapproved and the Programs for Primary Education Establishments, the Regulation for theSchool Inspection Service and the Regulation for Primary Education Establishments wereprepared. This last one had on the bases of organization, the structure and the types ofestablishments of education, period, holidays, regime of class, criteria for promotion ofstudents, faculty assignments, administration, discipline and school books, complementaryinstitutions of the school, Among several other items. The study is justified by the fact thatthis student is part of a group of other primary schools called School Groups and is subject tothe rigor of state school supervision in order to prove the fulfillment of the school program atthis established time. The purpose of the research proposal is to analyze the teaching programoffered by the Professor Balduino Cardoso Group to the students who attended PrimarySchool between 1945 and 1955, verifying the content taught, the school culture produced andthe emancipatory process of these students to the schooling process. The methodology usesbibliographic, descriptive, exploratory and documentary analysis, based on primary sourcesbelonging to the institution's historical collection, more specifically the annual reports and thereports of school inspection. The theoretical framework follows the studies of Julia (2001)and Forquin (1993). As a result of the research, fragments of historical documents arepresented, revealing the contents taught, the implicit discourses referring to learning values, discipline and order
